Regional Sales Manager

Location: New York - Philadelphia Area
Compensation: Commensurate with experience, training and skills

Description
Seeking a Regional Sales Manager to drive and manage Emcom’s sales efforts in the eastern region of the United States. The primary objectives of this role are to obtain new business, support aggressive growth, and manage existing accounts. You will be responsible for both identifying and selling to new clients while continuing to develop and grow business with select existing clients. You must be able to establish effective rapport with appropriate client executives, architecture & engineering firms and contractors to understand client needs, work with the Emcom team to deliver accurate proposals, and close business. This is not a phone or email relationship; you must enjoy facetime with customers in a way that maximizes the value of personal contact.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Directly drive the sale of $1MM to $2.5MM in business in the first year by selling Emcom’s full suite of emergency communications software, hardware, services and support
  • Leverage a list of contacts from Emcom as well as your own personal network so that you can make an immediate impact to the bottom line
  • With the help of marketing, qualify leads generated via phone campaigns, digital marketing and partner channels
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from lead qualification through opportunity assessment, trial, negotiation and closure
  • Work with Emcom marketing & product teams to construct and execute a sales strategy to penetrate new markets
  • Provide management with realistic and attainable sales forecasts
  • Work with the Emcom product & marketing team to identify and scope new opportunities and develop proposals that reflect customer requirements and objectives
  • Support client and project managers in up-selling and cross-selling project services to select existing clientele
  • Develop and nurture relationships with colleagues and partners in the emergency communications, security and transit arena. These contacts should include solution providers in audio, video, public address, radio and induction loop technology.
  • Gain confidence in discussing industry trends and technology.
  • Identify, attract, train, and retain key channel partners at architecture & engineering firms, contractors, distributors and resellers.
  • Develop new business opportunities through consistent customer and channel partner management and communications.

Desired Skills & Experience
5+ years selling services in a technology industry and a proven track record exceeding personal sales quotas
Demonstrated strength negotiating with clients. Ability to quickly establish and maintain key relationships within prospective companies including local and national engineering firms
  • Experience selling deals from $100k to $2MM
  • Experience managing on-going client relationships and successfully up-selling when appropriate
  • Experience in collecting requirements and developing sales proposals and contracts
  • Good written & verbal communication, business acumen, and presentation skills
  • Sales tenacity, ability to listen and not only talk
  • Must be able to relate to customers and enjoy meeting their needs
  • Comfortable with researching and cold calling prospects
  • Demonstrated solutions sales skills
  • Previous sales experience selling emergency communications / VoIP products is a plus
  • Experience selling ADA compliant, or similar, endpoints also a plus
